2012 Regional Meeting of the GBIF Participant Nodes in Asia

The GBIF Nodes Committee has, since 2008, promoted regional level activities as a way to empower Node Managers to participate more actively in GBIF. Two rounds of regional Nodes meetings have been held in 2008 and 2010 that have proven an effective setting for identifying common needs, priorities and opportunities, based on existing regional collaboration processes.

The Taiwan Biodiversity Information Facility (TaiBIF) will host the 2012 Asian Regional Meeting of the GBIF Participant Nodes in Taipei on 28-30 June 2012.
